(Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing Co.’s brewmaster, Mitch Steele, announced his soon-to-be departure this week. More below from the video..

“My last day at Stone will be June 30th.

I had this new opportunity drop in my lap. These guys approached me. They are industry vets; they’ve got 20-30 years experience. They wanted me to partner with them in this new operation. Like I told Pat [COO], this opportunity may never come again. It’s a bucket list thing. It was something that I thought that if I didn’t give it a shot, I’d regret it for the rest of my life.”

Steele goes onto recount some of his favorite experiences from the job.

Steele has been with Stone since May 15th, 2006, according to the company’s “Team Stone” page.

Steele did not elaborate on his next venture in the video.
