Lineage Brewing out of Columbus, Ohio is our featured brewery this month. Not even a year old, they’ve already made quite the impression. Lineage was recently announced the Clintonville Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year, named one of Beer Advocate magazine’s top 33 breweries of 2015, and won the Best of Craft Brewing’s silver medal! Every few weeks, Lineage is releasing a new beer or perfecting one of their standards. Right now, they are about to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with their new Loughran’s Irish Stout and Rory’s Rayge Irish Red Ale. Loughran’s Irish Stout is served on nitrogen with toasty malt and coffee notes. Rory’s Rayge, named after a favorite dog and a favorite bicyclist, has a big flavor and hints of biscuits and toffee in the finish. There are currently seven other beers on Lineage Brewing’s taps, including a Russian stout, two American Pal Ales, and a guava weisse. And their food sounds almost as good as their beer—and their happy hour! With their first anniversary coming up, which involves a party, live music, and a bike ride, Lineage Brewing has certainly started a beer tradition to live up to its name.
