In fact, that’s the whole point of this company. The owners, Ryan and Christa Kilpatrick, have combined his intense love of beer with her intense of love of literature to create Fiction Beer Company. Each of their beers is based off of a particular piece of fiction, morphing the themes and tones of the book into the themes and tones of their beers. They have many rotating taps, including their recently-released Sour Pumpkin beer and their forthcoming Holiday beer. They also have some staples, though, categorized much like a bookshop. The Classics include options like Old Bums and Beat Cowboys – Pale Ale and the Feely Effects – Green Tea Chocolate Milk Stout; the Mystery & Adventure has more exciting options, such as the Zembla – Baltic Porter; and Fantasy and Science Fiction has the Heart of Hearts-Belgian Triple with Dragonfruit. And if their beer list wasn’t enough to get you in the door, they also host a Harry Potter trivia night. What could be better?
