Wasatch and Squatters beers return to Idaho after three-year absence

(Salt Lake City, UT) – Wasatch Brewery and Squatters Craft Beers won a total of seven medals at the 2015 North American Beer Awards, held in conjunction with the Mountain Brewers Beer Festival in Idaho Falls on Saturday, June 6th. The wins coincide with the official launch of Wasatch and Squatters beers returning to the state of Idaho for distribution after a three year absence.

Wasatch Brewery won four silver medals for Provo Girl Pilsner, Last One In Lager, Devastator Double Bock and Ghostrider White IPA. Squatters Craft Beers picked up a gold medal for Respect Your Mother Organic Amber, a silver medal for Sociable Krystalweizen and a bronze medal for Wee Peat Scottish Ale. Wasatch Brewery and Squatters Craft Beers have won collectively 71 medals (17 Gold, 31 Silver and 23 Bronze) at NABA competitions.

“I have judged at the NABA competition and enjoyed the brewers’ beer festival since 1998 and I have huge respect for the professionalism of the organizers and volunteers who make this competition possible” explained Dave McKean, Microbiologist and Director of Quality Control for Wasatch Brewery and Squatters Craft Beers. “It has been my pleasure to see the event grow and it is especially exciting to head back into the state of Idaho with our beers after experiencing so much love at this event over the years.”

Wasatch and Squatters beers will partner with Craig Stein Beverage for distribution in the state of Idaho, focusing on Southern Idaho and the Greater Boise area.

The North American Brewers Association TM (NABA) is a non-profit foundation. It’s annual, professional brewing competition has been held since 1997 with more than 1,200 beers competing this year and hosting well over 6,000 beer enthusiasts. All proceeds from the Competition are directed to charity as per the foundation’s charter.
