Press Release:

(Denver, CO) – Crooked Stave Artisans Distributing (CSA) has added award-winning Finnriver Farm & Cidery (Chimacum, WA) to its growing portfolio of artisan ciders. Beginning this week, CSA will introduce Finnriver’s range of traditional and innovative contemporary style craft ciders to independent liquor stores, bars, and restaurants across Colorado.

“Finnriver’s craftsmanship relishes in the purity of the old-world, while brining a sense of understanding to the important merits of true American cider,” says André DiMattia, CSA Buyer. “These are true farmers crafting actual farmstead beverages that purify with their energy and engage with a sense of honesty, all while bringing a cultural significance that is based in unmistakable care. We are so very honored to have this opportunity to offer the dedications of Finnriver to the thirsty patrons throughout Colorado”

Founded by husband-and-wife team, Keith and Crystie Kisler, Finnriver is at the forefront of what has now become a national cider renaissance. Each Finnriver cider is produced using fruit from the pair’s own 80-acre organic farm, as well as fruit sourced from other organic farms across Washington state.

“We landed on this farm in 2004, planting our feet and our hearts on 33 acres in the Chimacum Valley,” says Crystie Kisler, Co-founder of Finnriver Farm & Cidery. “We are on a mission to ‘serve the land with cider.’ We are committed to fermenting a vision of good land, renewed rural community and a vibrant food culture. Farming, we came to realize is about what you eat, and what you drink.”

Crooked Stave Artisans Distributing will offer the following products from Finnriver’s line of contemporary craft ciders:

Farmstead Cider– A lightly carbonated cider produced in small batches each fall using homestead-harvested fruit from Olympic Peninsula neighbors. Inspired by World Apple Day, Finnriver invites friends and neighbors to bring their bruised, bitter, and bizarre apples to add to the bins. This medley of fruit is then pressed, fermented, and lightly sweetened to balance acidity and tannins. 6.5% ABV | 500ML | Fall Production

Firebarrel Cider– This mature cider is crafted each fall on Finnriver’s own farm using a blend of traditional apples, and then aged in a mix of fire-charred bourbon and Washington rye whiskey barrels for several months. 6.5% ABV | 500ML | Fall Production

Black Currant Cider – This lightly carbonated cider is produced in small batches year-round, featuring 100% organic apple juice pressed from Washington apples. The juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks, then blended with black currants and unrefined organic cane sugar. 6.5% ABV | 500ML | Year-Round

Pear Cider – This sweet, lightly carbonated cider is made in small batches year-round, featuring 100% organic apple juice pressed from Washington apples. After being fermented, Finnriver then sweetens the cider with organic pear for additional depth, sweetness, and flavor. 6.5% ABV | 500ML | Year-Round

Dry Hopped Cider– Produced in small batches year-round, this lightly carbonated cider is fermented to dry and is then steeped with organic whole Cascade hops for up to two weeks. 6.5% ABV | 500ML | Year-Round

Habanero Cider – A dry, lightly carbonated cider made in small batches year-round using 100% organic apple juice pressed from Washington apples. After being fermented to dry, this cider is then steeped with organic Habanero chilies for several days until the ideal balance of heat is achieved. 6.5% ABV | 500 ML | Year-Round

Honey Meadow Cider – A seasonal offering, Honey Meadow features Finnriver’s fermented cider that is sweetened with local organic honey and is infused with local lemon balm and chamomile. Lightly carbonated. 6.5% ABV | 500 ML | Seasonal

Apple Abbey – Fermented with a classic Belgian style ale yeast, which is low attenuating and low flocculating, this cider is silky and full-bodied with aromas of clove and pepper that Belgian yeast is known for. 6.5% ABV | 750ML | Special Release
