Press Release:

Partnership means more brew to flow in Austin, seven county footprint

(Houston, TX) – Karbach Brewing Co. announced today that it has reached a distribution agreement with Brown Distributing to bring broader distribution of the brand to Central Texas. Beginning August 11th, Brown will take over distribution of the Karbach portfolio in its seven county footprint. Karbach Brewing began draft only self-distribution of the Austin area earlier in 2014. This move will allow deeper distribution and bring packaged beer to the region in Q4 of 2014.

Laurie Brown, Vice President of Brown Distributing said of the deal “Austin consumers are hungry for craft beer. This is a great local craft…the consumer wants [Karbach] and it’s going to be huge for the market.”

“We are thrilled to be entering into this agreement with the folks at Brown. Their commitment to excellence in craft is evident in the accounts that we’ve visited over the past several months,” said Blake Robertson, Co-founder of Karbach Brewing Co.

Karbach drew national attention in 2013 when cited by The New Yorker as the 2nd fastest-growing brewery in the nation. The brewery produced nearly 19,000 barrels in 2013 and is on pace to hit 30,000 barrels this year. Local demand has been a strong driver in the quick growth with distribution limited to the greater Houston area, San Antonio and Austin.
