(St. Louis, MO) – A rep for the Anheuser-Busch InBev’s Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider brand sent this over to us this week. Check out the new ad spot for the brand below.

As you know, Anheuser-Busch’s new Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider hit shelves last month – the first brand new product intro from the company since 2007 – and this week, a broadcast spot hit national airwaves with a focus on cable and late-night programming.

Here’s a first look at the new Johnny Appleseed national TV commercial, which features Chromeo’s “Jealous,” already being billed the Song of Summer 2014.

But if “Jealous” is the Song of Summer 2014, cider is certainly the drink. According to IRI, a Chicago-based market research firm, sales of hard cider were $172 million last year, compared with about $35 million in 2009 – so it’s definitely a growing category.

A-B’s Johnny Appleseed Hard Apple Cider has been in development since 2011 and was created by a team of more than 750 consumers across the US, Canada, and UK. It’s best served over ice in a high ball glass.
