Clown Shoes update: cans, Blimp, Millionario, 5th Anniv Quad, Ride the Lion, Royal Standard

Clown Shoes Session APA/IPA cans (New England only) – 3/2 – Still knocking around names for a local or New England only session ipa/apa in cans. Two new ones: Space Cookie- a 4.5% session ipa built off of the backbone of Space Cake, but with a totally different hop profile and less malty. Photobomb- beer would be the same as above, but we could run all sorts of cool contests where people photobomb while holding up a photobomb

Clown Shoes Chocolate Sombrero – 3/5 – In a few months we will stop making Chocolate Sombrero. In bombers, that is. The per ounce price will improve quite a bit, as we expect average retail to be $9.99. Check out the new 4 pack art.

Clown Shoes Burnt Caramel American Brown Ale – 4/11 – Here it is! Burnt Caramel American Brown Ale is officially ready. Ultra small batch but we did around 350 cases and kegs for Yard House so look for it on tap there. Caramel courtesy of Toscanini’s Ice Cream, and the Caramel God approves.

Clown Shoes Ride the Lion and Royal Standard – 4/29 – Ok, time to confuse. Royal Standard, originally, was meant to be a bourbon barrel aged wee heavy. We made the beer and put it in barrel two months ago. But we liked the base beer so much we want to make that too… So, the barrel aged version will now be called Ride The Lion (how do you like the label?). This will be released in June if all goes well. The non-barrel aged beer will be Royal Standard, released sometime later in the year, possibly September.

Clown Shoes 5th Anniversary Belgian Quad – 4/30 – We are going to start test batching a Belgian quad for our fifth anniversary beer. Which name do you like best: Seaside Monastic, American Monastic, The Peace That Money Can’t Buy, or American Monastic (AKA The Peace That Money Can’t Buy)? Coming in December.

Clown Shoes Blimp – 5/6 – we are going to put 100 cases of volume of Muffin Top (pre dry hopping) into 5 Apple Brandy Barrels. This will be part of a super limited release series, which will be the Clown Shoes Albino Cetacean series. Look for this toward the end of the year! [On the calendar for August]

Clown Shoes Swagger – 5/6 – Who wants Swagger back later this summer? [It’s not on the January schedule. Only 3 comments said they want it back.]

Clown Shoes Crunkle Sam – 5/13 – Check out the expanded label. Crunkle Sam is in the bottle and will hit shelves over the next few weeks leading up to Memorial Day weekend!

Clown Shoes Millonario (Mass only) – 5/16 – This is the first in our super limited release Albino Cetaceous Series: Chocolate Sombrero aged in cognac barrels. It’s just about 100 cases of volume. MA distribution only, sometime in June or July.

Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet 1.5 – From BA comment, “Hoppy Feet 1.5 was made as our first anniversary beer, but has been in production ever since. We are giving it a break in terms of production as of now until sometime in 2015.”

Past News:

Clown Shoes Ohio Unidragon – 2/4 – Ohio does not allow beer to be sold if it is over 12% ABV, which has kept Blaecorn Unidragon from entering the state. In response to feeling frustrated about this, we decided to take action. Ohio Unidragon is planned for March and will be available only in Ohio.

Clown Shoes Space Cake Double IPA – 2/13 – The official release of Space Cake Double IPA (dry hopped with Mosaic hops) is less than a week away! Look out for this bad boy as we roll it out in limited quantities to our various markets… Year-Round.
