(Reno-Sparks, NV) – Baldini’s Casino and High Sierra Brewing announced they will open a new Brewery and Taproom at Baldini’s Casino in Sparks, Nev., in late August of 2014.
“High Sierra is one of the West’s most up and coming brewers and we are extremely excited to be able to bring them to Baldini’s Casino and the Reno-Sparks area,” said Pete McHugh, Marketing Director of Baldini’s Casino. “They serve world class micro brews as well as a unique and innovative menu in a fun and exciting environment. It brings a whole new dining and entertainment option for our customers.”
High Sierra will employ 20 people and occupy the former Baldini’s buffet site with renovations starting immediately. The taproom will seat over 150 customers and include an outdoor patio and seating area. They will also have live entertainment featuring bands, DJ’s, and karaoke nights.
The brewery will serve a variety of their custom brewed beers, including their Great American Beer Festival’s® Gold Medal winner Buzzed Bee Honey Ale. There will be daily happy hours, and an eclectic pub style menu with lots of favorites including our famous Western Bacon Burger, our award winning Pastrami Sandwich, our Angry Muscles marinated in our Honey Ale and our hand crafted Tri-Tip Tailgaters using our Bailed Barley rolls. High Sierra will also host beer tasting events and dinners featuring special creations from our kitchen paired with custom beers in the chef’s private dining room inside the brewery.

Baldini’s Casino, is located in Sparks, Nev., and recently underwent a complete renovation. Founded in 1988 by the Baldwin family, Baldini’s helped pioneer customer-loyalty programs now embraced by many Nevada gaming properties. Investors in Missoula, Mont., bought the casino in January 2009. Its 27,000 square feet of gaming space features 540 video poker and slot machines, live keno and sports betting. The casino also offers more multi-hand poker games per capita than any other casino in northern Nevada. Baldini’s offers three restaurants, including High Sierra Brewing Company opening in August 2014, as well as a gift shop and 5,000 square feet of banquet space.
