(San Diego, CA) – Heretic Brewing founder, Jamil Zainasheff, broke some news on a recent episode of Brew Strong.

He will be heading down to San Diego sometime in 2014 to brew a collaboration beer at Stone Brewing. Stone, of course, releases a handful of collaboration beers each year on draft and in bottles as part of an official series.

The other collab partner will be Anchorage Brewing Company.

Zainasheff didn’t elaborate on when it would be and only revealed that they would be making “liquid.”

Zainasheff also plans to brew a beer with Stone Brewmaster, Mitch Steele, and The Brewing Network’s Mike ‘Tasty’ McDole up at the Heretic facility in Fairfield. Or, as he joked, they will hang out while Heretic workers brew it.

Zainasheff also indicated an interest in brewing a beer with Evil Twin Brewing Company at some point as Heretic brews a beer called “Evil Twin.”

The collab talk was actually just a sidebar to the show’s main topic of trademarks in the craft beer industry.
