Asheville Brewing doesn’t plan to change branding of top-seller after Hindu complaint (video)

"It’s a good brewery and a good beer," Marshall-Clark said. But Rajan Zed, president of the Universal Society of Hinduism in Nevada, doesn’t think so. "Shiva is highly revered in Hinduism," Zed said. He said Lord Shiva, a Hindu God, is meant to be worshipped and shouldn’t be plastered on cans and bottles if beer.

Zed successfully got Burnside Brewing to change the branding of a beer previously so this may not be over.

  1. If you can have names like “Even More Jesus”, “Sweet Baby Jesus”, etc. then you can have a name like Shiva. This guy can piss off and should STFU.

  2. You know,I have come and said “sweet Christ,Where’s my Shiva” Great people and great beer.
    Lighten up.for sure
