Terrapin update: new markets, Cinnamon Roll’d W-n-B, W-n-B and Pineapple Express

Terrapin Cinnamon Roll'd W-n-B Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout

(Athens, GA) – Terrapin Beer Company announced some upcoming beer releases in this week’s email newsletter. More on that below.

Also of note, the company launched Washington DC with Premium two weeks ago. That followed entry into Maryland earlier this year where Bond, Buck and Premium are handling the portfolio. Further distribution is set to take place in the Mid-Atlantic/Appalachian region with the company likely entering West Virginia in early 2014. Down in the Gulf, Louisiana is another previously announced entry to take place in Q1 2014.

As for new releases, White Chocolate Moo-Hoo Stout kicked off the new Reserve Series just recently. Another one joins it next week. More on the upcoming releases…

White Chocolate Moo-Hoo takes the smooth flavor of real white chocolate and layers it seamlessly with our original Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout. Luscious notes of white chocolate and hints of vanilla swirl with Moo-Hoo’s creamy cocoa base to create a mouth-watering sweet stout that is the essence of decadence.

Nipping at its heels will be Cinnamon Roll’d Wake-n-Bake [shipping next week].

Like a favorite breakfast treat and a great cup of coffee merged into one, Cinnamon Roll’d Wake-n-Bake will leave you wondering if it’s beer or brinner! It starts with a delicious coffee aroma, then a touch of Cinnamon gives way to flavors of sugary-sweet icing as a buttery nuttiness fills out the last drop of this breakfast in a glass.

Wake-n-Bake

Winter means stouts, and perennial favorite Wake-n-Bake is back to meet your highest expections! Brewed with oatmeal for a velvety mouthfeel and real coffee from Athens roaster Jittery Joe’s, our imperial stout will get your day going!

Side Project 21: Pineapple Express

All Aboard!! Pulling into Terrapin Beer Co.’s station is Pineapple Express, the winner of our first annual Employee Homebrew Challenge. Inspired by a late night grilling session with friends, a couple chunks of pineapple got thrown into the mix, and an idea for a new beer style was born. The team brewed up a Helles lager for the base brew and used real pineapple and smoked malt to concoct the winning recipe.

The winning team was comprised of: Andy Dupras (packaging), John Lane (brewer), Rainey Lynch (tour), Lily Swindle (tour), Mike Wallace (sales), Julia Weckback (marketing), Chris Wright (packaging).

Our second Homebrew Challenge is currently underway; beers will be judged in early January and the winner will be released as Side Project 24 in late 2014!
