Class of ’88 Belgian-Style Strong Golden Ale
When: December
What: Class of ’88 Collaboration Series (22-ounce bottles)
This is the third and final creation in the Class of ’88 Collaboration Series, a number of commemorative beers to celebrate the 25th anniversary of craft breweries around the country, brewed by Deschutes Brewery and Goose Island Beer Company. This exotic beer was brewed with Michigan Riesling and Oregon Pinot Noir grapes, hops from Mt. Hood and pilsner malt – all aged in barrels that previously held Muscat wine in them for 10 years. Like all the Class of ’88 beers, each brewery will produce its own version of the brew in bottles and draft.
Where: Very limited availability in Deschutes Brewery’s distribution area
When: December-April
What: Bond Street Series (22-ounce bottles and draft)
Deschutes Brewery’s Hop Henge Experimental IPA is an annual exercise in pure brewing creativity. Each year, Hop Henge uses several new hop processes and techniques to create a truly unique and unexpected beer. For 2013, brewers cooked up a version including Chinook hops and two as-yet-unnamed experimental hop strains. This commitment to innovation results in a beer that has a full aroma and flavor of citrus plus spicy, herbal notes.

Bachelor, you don’t have to carve any turns to enjoy this beer’s subtle aromatic seduction for yourself.
