(Brooklyn, NY) – The Brooklyn Brewery has expanded distribution to Nevada exclusively through Southern Wine and Spirits.
The company plans a wide launch in January with a soft launch having already taken place earlier this month at the National Beer Wholesalers Association in Las Vegas. The brand will be available statewide.
“We are going to Nevada because our neighbors here in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Bowl, are building a mammoth new project on the Las Vegas strip. Brooklyn Bowl is a 14-lane bowling alley with a 600-person performance space and stage showcasing major bands,” says Co-Founder and President, Steve Hindy. “Brooklyn Brewery beers will be featured in Vegas, as they are in Brooklyn.”
Hindy also hints at possible future expansion out West though he notes there are currently no other changes in distribution taking place over the next 12-16 months to report.
“We have received many queries from distributors in the West, and we are hopeful about our entry to Nevada.”
Hindy expects production growth up to 215,000 barrels this year or a 22% increase on last year’s 176,000 barrels.
The Brooklyn Brewery was among the top 15 craft brewers by production volume in the U.S. in 2012.
