Greg Hall’s Virtue Cider expands distribution to Washington, California

Virtue Cider logo(Fennville, MI) – Virtue Cider founder, Greg Hall, tells BeerPulse that the cidermaker is expanding to the West Coast.

West Coast distribution launched recently in partnership with Click Wholesale in Seattle. Click announced the deal in late September and Virtue has already sent its first shipment.

Up next is California. Shipment will go out in November to Wine Warehouse who will be carrying the brand statewide.

A few other major markets will follow in early 2014.

Making those increases in distribution possible is another expansion. Virtue moved ten 2,000g tanks into Cider House 2 on Friday and all will be full by the end of next week.

Virtue also boosted its staff with the recent hire of Michael McAvena to be its representative in the New York City market.

“He’s spent the last 5 years as Beer Director at The Publican in Chicago,” says Hall,” and is “very knowledgable on beer, food, cider.” That will undoubtedly help Virtue with its core farm-to-table approach.
