What else could Brito buy? Few internationally respected beers are left. Guinness comes to mind, though it is owned by Diageo. In the U.S., AB InBev is basically at its limit, with 46% market share; it cannot exceed 50% without incurring the DOJ’s wrath. But two game-changing steps, if done right, are conceivable. AB InBev could buy SABMiller, its nearest competitor.
