Alpine Beer Co. update: Good, Bad, Ugly, Bad Boy, Hoppy Birthday, Keene Idea and more

alpine beer co logo(Alpine, CA) – It’s going to be a Good, Bad, and Ugly kind of week here at the Alpine Beer Company. Yes, Bad Boy will finally make it’s appearance Tuesday, 9/3/2013, and to celebrate, we’re going to put kegs of Good (our non-barrel aged Barleywine) and Ugly (our hoppy Black Ale) on in our Pub to accompany it. We don’t have very much of any of them, and they’ll go quickly, so don’t hesitate.

Bad Boy will be available at Noon for Growler Fills (Growlers only, no bottles) in our Brewery, with a limit of 2 per customer. We don’t expect it to last long, so if you’ve been waiting (and calling every day for the last few weeks!) now is the time to come get our very special, all Maris Otter (a premium British Pale Malt) Double IPA! Even at 9% A.B.V., it’s dangerously drinkable, and it’s available only 2 or 3 times a year. Bad Boy is currently #100 on Beer Advocate’s Top 250 Beers, find out why starting Tuesday!

Hoppy Birthday (#61 on that list) is almost gone, but if you are one of the first few customers this week, you might still get some. Exponential Hoppiness (#68) is very close, about 2 weeks, to being ready, and we should have it bottled in the next few weeks. Great (#232, and #2 on B.A.’s Best American Barleywines List) is also close to being bottled, and there will even be some Keene Idea (#154) brewing, too, being brewed on Thursday, Sept. 5th. It should be ready about 3½ weeks later.

Don’t forget about Nelson (#57), Duet (#72), or Pure Hoppiness (#77). We try to have those 3 all the time, and thanks to Shawn, we usually do.

We have a talented homebrewer in our employ who created a recipe for a Coffee Brown that has been brewed on our sized scale. Look for “Koffee Sutra” to be released in a little over a week. Thanks Keith, we look forward to tasting your awesome creation. It is 6% abv and will be “dry-beaned” with “Rwanda Musasa” coffee beans from the Treehouse Coffee Company.
