Top RateBeer reviewer has rated over 30,000 beers, rating at 100+ beer/week pace

RateBeer shared a list of its top reviewers earlier this month with “fonefan” taking the top spot.

fonefan had rated 30,333 beers as of the update, sent out 16 days ago. In that 16 day span, fonefan has since rated another 273 beers, a clip of 17 beers a day.

fonefan has a sizeable lead of more than 3,000 beers on his closest competition. Only four reviewers have rated over 25,000 beers and the rest have all rated under 20,000.

Denmark is home to nine of the top 13 reviewers and Scandavian countries are home to all but one of those spots.

“bu11zeye” is the top-ranking USA member with nearly 11,500 reviews.

I’m really curious how he’s doing this, assuming he’s actually doing it. Must be a trust fund baby if he is, otherwise how could someone have enough time and money?
