Press Release:
(Independence, OR) – This fall, Rogue Ales is releasing Rogue Farms Pumpkin Patch Ale, an ale brewed with Rogue’s own fresh pumpkins grown and harvested at Rogue Farms in Independence, OR.
Because no canned pumpkins, purees or concentrates are used in the brew, Rogue Farms Pumpkin Patch Ale will be available on taps and shelves sometime in October.
“It’s worth the wait,” says Rogue brewmaster, John Maier.
Pumpkin Patch Ale begins in the dirt at Rogue Farms in Independence, OR. Six acres of GYO Dream Sugar Pumpkins were planted in May alongside the Rogue Farms hops, hazelnuts, jalapenos and honey bees, all of which are used in the Rogue Farms lineup of ales, porters, stouts, lagers, meads, braggots and spirits.
The pumpkins will reach the peak of ripeness sometime in September.
As soon as they’re picked, the pumpkins are driven to the Rogue Brewery in Newport, OR, just 77 miles away. They’re hand-chopped and seeded, roasted in a pizza oven, and pitched fresh into the brew kettle to create Pumpkin Patch Ale. It’s the revolutionary way to brew.
Pumpkin Patch Ale is available in 750ml orange bottles and on draft.
Precise release date? Mother Nature decides.
