Dogfish Head Brewery evacuated after 300-gallon tank spills nitric acid (video)
A container of nitric acid at the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton leaked today, prompting an evacuation of the building. Joseph Hopple of Sussex County Emergency Medical Services said a 300-gallon container of nitric acid leaked as six workers were nearby. None were injured, he said.
The news comes less than one month after a Reuters report titled, “Fast-growing U.S. craft brewers struggle with worker safety” was released.
