Former Michigan Beer Guild president, Larry Bell, pulls brewery out of guild fest over political fundraising

On Wednesday, Bell pulled out of the Michigan Beer Guild’s sold-out 16th Annual Summer Beer Festival in Ypsilanti, taking place this weekend. The move is directly related to the political fundraising, said Bell, who was once president of the guild.

Bell’s is the largest brewery in Michigan. Bell also opposes The Small BREW Act the way it is currently written. He posted on BeerAdvocate earlier that he was working on Enbridge stuff tonight but will have a comment ready tomorrow.

  1. Seems like a trend. Bell’s wasn’t at last years UP fall beer festival either. I hope they’re there this year.
