(Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker is heading to Houston and San Antonio with Silver Eagle.

VP of Sales, Steve Almaraz, tells BeerPulse that the company will open those two markets in August with a planned draft rollout the week of the 12th.

Firestone Walker is in the midst of back-to-back record-breaking shipment months and is in a bit of a “packaging crunch” so bottles will be pushed back to September. Expect to see the whole lineup.

Brown Distributing started carrying the brands in February in Austin and Andrews Distributing started carrying them in March in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Almaraz notes that Texas has a number of worthy wholesale partners which “isn’t necessarily the case in every market,” and that meeting cold storage requirements has been a key factor in selecting in some of its partners.

Almaraz also says that there are currently no plans to open new markets this year or next but that is subject to change.
