(GERMANY) – AC/DC Beer imperial pint cans now have approval to be sold in the U.S..
The [German] Australian rock band launched the beer in European markets earlier this spring. The beer is contract-brewed by Karlsberg Brauerei.
S&H Independent Premium Brands out of Denver is listed on the label as the importer but that doesn’t necessarily mean that S&H has exclusive rights. We have reached out to the brand for more information.
S&H confirms it has exclusive rights and that the beer will only be available in cans. No firm launch plans as of yet. Also of note, “We have just relaunched the Dinkelacker brand in the US along with the Schwabenbrau brand.”
This beer is the latest in a string of band beer released over the past few months, some to coincide with summer tours.
Another noteworthy rock band beer, Trooper by Iron Maiden, is set to be released in the U.S. within the next two weeks.
German rock band? I think not. Aussie rock band. Research, please. You’ll be considered smarter for it.
Referred to them as an Australian band in a prior article. When you see the words German lager plastered all over the place, your mind can play tricks on you.
That said, fixed and thanks.
KArlsberg is one of the lowest of the low german breweries in terms of quality. Like the brewery ACDC is shit.
Nice comment Mike. It’ brilliant people like you who feel incessantly compelled to say something unproductive that keep the Internet so compelling. Keep up the great work. People will respect you for your positive influence. Oh, and by the way, something tells me that shit band has sold more music than 10 of your favorite artists all added together.
I wonder if they’ll start using ACDC song names in their beer names. Imagine the possibilities; Back In Black Lager (Yeah, I know 21st Amendment already have one similarly named), For Those About To Bock, Shook Me All Night Lager, Helles Bells, Highway to Hefe, Alebreak, Who Made Brew… Okay, I’ll stop.
