CraftCans.com reported on its Facebook page last month that there are now fifteen mobile canning companies in the U.S..

That number may hit 20 before long.

The Colorado Craft Beer Show reports that Mobile Canning of Colorado has now signed five new affiliates in San Diego, Chicago, DC, Philadelphia and Baltimore so “look for more cans in those places later this summer.”

Mobile canning companies travel from brewery to brewery running the canning process for them so that they don’t have to purchase an in-house canning line.

Mobile Canning of Colorado just canned what may be the first canned mead (at least in the U.S.) for Redstone Meadery. Three different flavors of 8% ABV mead are now available in the 500ml cans.
