(Portland, OR) – The duo behind Gigantic Brewing joined the Under My Host podcast this past week to discuss what’s new at the brewery and more general topics.

Among them, Brewmaster, Van Havig, is asked about his comments on the brewery bubble…a discussion he famously referred to as the “dumbest, stupidest concept I’ve ever heard.”

Contrary to its name, the small brewery is actually somewhat widely distributed, despite its size. Gigantic beers can now be found in Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alaska, Vermont and most recently through Glunz, in Chicago.

They dropped a nugget toward the end of the podcast that they will soon be distributed in California.

Gigantic recently brewed the limited Official Portland Beer Week beer, a collaboration with Breakside Brewing. The collaboration is “a dry hopped Northwest India amber ale conditioned with Brettanomyces to improve in the bottle for a long time to come.”
