Press Release:

(Ashland, VA) – Center of the Universe Brewing is excited to release two of their most popular beers: Main St. Virginia Ale and Ray Ray’s Pale Ale in cans.

Center of the Universe will be using Old Dominion Mobile Canning, a new business in Glen Allen. Adding cans to the line-up of packaging will help make trips to the beach, the river, or anywhere else glass is prohibited much easier.

“Cans are more portable, recyclable, and do a better job protecting the beer than glass bottles. Richmond was the first city to begin canning beer, and we’re excited to be a part of bringing that tradition back.” – Phil Ray, co-founder, Center of the Universe Brewing Company.

Additionally, COTU will be promoting the new cans with a daily Facebook photo to inspire places to take your six-pack of COTU beers. Before they hit stores, the cans will be released to the public on Saturday, June 1st at the brewery for their Candemonium! event. Ashland resident George Dennehy will be playing for the first time at COTU, and there will be food trucks.

George Dennehy got his start winning “Richmond’s Got Talent” in 2011, and also joined the Goo Goo Dolls on stage at Musikfest in 2012. For more information on George, please visit his website: georgedennehy.com.
