BA’s Pease says BEER Act would save big brewers nearly $17 billion over ten years (video)
In a new message to Brewers Association voting brewery members from Bob Pease, COO, Brewers Association, Pease compares the two bills floating through Congress: the Small BREW Act (supported by the Brewers Association) and the BEER Act (supported by the Beer Institute). The BEER Act would save the largest brewers $16.7 billion over ten years, says Pease. “It is not politically viable. The bill’s real aims are political and are not of enduring value to America’s small and independent brewers.” The Senate version of The Small BREW Act and The BEER Act were announced on the same day last week.
