(Dallas, TX) – Paste Untapped Festival recently trickled out a few limited release beers that will make an appearance at the April 20th event. Organizers originally promised 50+ breweries and 100+ beers but the beer list seems to have taken on a life of its own. Paste Untapped Fort Worth will now offer over 65 breweries and 200 beers from all over the country and Texas.
Among the more sought after beers, Founders Brewing Company will make their Texas beer festival debut and bring along their highly coveted KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) which was recently name the #4 beer on earth by RateBeer. KBS headlines a long list of barrel-aged releases rarely seen in Texas. Other highlights include Avery’s Odio Equum, Green Flash’s Silva Stout, 2004 vintage of Alaskan’s Smoked Porter, Ballast Point’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Sea Monster and many others. A sampling of the beer list is can be found below. The complete list expected to be announced on April 8th.
The festival will also include many Texas breweries with roughly 1/3 of the participants hailing from the Lone Star State. Several DFW area breweries will debut new items at the festival including Community Beer Company’s newest year round brew, Mosaic IPA. Deep Ellum Brewing Company will debut their limited production Barley Wine placed in oak barrels exactly one year to the day prior to Untapped Fest. And finally, Four Corners Brewing Company will debut their newest seasonal offering, Super Bee – a Saison.
Festival organizer Corey Pond says the beer list is a labor of love and passion, “We’ve literally been working with breweries from all over the country for months to try and bring some unique offerings to Fort Worth. It doesn’t always work out this way, but everything just fell into place and the quality and depth of the beer list is beyond what we expected. We’re really proud of the list that’s been put together and really appreciate everyone working with us to make something special.”
