(Aurora, CO) – The Colorado Craft Beer Show caught up with target=”_blank”>Dry Dock Brewing Director of Operations, Doug Hyndman. The company just added a new production facility south of I70 on Tower Road. Notes…
– New facility opened in January. They have dialed up recipes from a 7-barrel system to a 40-barrel system.
– Hop Abomination cans are the top-seller.
– Shaved down Apricot Blonde brew to 9 hours for eighty barrels
– May try to get a small tasting room up in the next 2-3 months
– Beer garden, dog park, even zipline have been thrown out as ideas for the land surrounding the new production facility
– Just went through the barrels at their old facility and emptied a bunch of them (cannibalized them as Hyndman put it)
– Are going to release another batch of Ambassador Barrel Aged Sour Ale soon. Plan to brew more so that they can keep it around more often but not quite year-round
– Going to sour some Apricot Blonde Ale as well
– Getting a 70-barrel foeder for new facility that they’ll use for some funky beers
