Christian Moerlein Brewing boosting capacity up to 15k annual barrels (video)
Hardman, CEO of the Christian Moerlein Brewing Co., stopped brewing at 1621 Moore St. last fall to expand operations. Now, he plans to increase the facility’s brewing capability to produce 15,000 barrels of beer – or 465,000 gallons worth – by the end of the year. That number is far below the 400,000 barrel-production capacity estimate Hardman has for the facility, which housed the John Kauffman brewery that closed prior to Prohibition.
