(Atlanta, GA) – We don’t post a lot of beer event stuff, if any, at BeerPulse due to the sheer volume of the beer events taking place around the country on any given night. But this one that comes to us from the Atlanta Hawks is quite unique- at least for a franchise in one of the main four sports.

As a way to really embrace and celebrate all the great things that make Atlanta what it is, the Hawks will be hosting a craft beer night with eight (8) of Atlanta’s craft breweries on Saturday, March 30 when we take on the Orlando Magic to celebrate the surge of craft beer in the city.
We will have a dedicated “festival like” space inside the arena for the event that will begin at 5:30pm (game time is 7pm) and go through the end of the 3rd quarter. All breweries, German food and a live band will mingle in the space with guests. Guests will also have the opportunity to vote on their favorite brewery during the game. The winning brewery will be announced during the second half and their brew of choice will be carried at the arena throughout the playoffs (begin in late April).
To gain access to the Hawktoberfest, guests will purchase a ticket to the game (prices range from $22.25-$200 at hawks.com) and once on-site, can buy a Hawktoberfest passport for $16, which includes 4, 4 ounce tastings + Hawks branded stein. In addition, a few of the brew masters will be available for a meet & greet during halftime inside Taco Mac which is connected to the event space.
The breweries that have signed on to participate include:
– Monday Night Brewing
– Jailhouse Brewing
– O’Dempseys
– Wild Heaven
– Red Brick
– Terrapin
– Sweetwater
– Blue Tarp
The Portland Trailblazers have been doing Hoops & Hops nights for a couple seasons.
You beat me to it Aaron!
