15 ‘commercial beer-making’ companies have launched in Massachusetts in last 15 months
Of the estimated 2,750 breweries operating in the United States, at least 50 are located in Massachusetts. And with about 10 new commercial beer-making companies having launched in 2012 and another five already launched in 2013, the Bay State has become one of the nation’s most concentrated mico-brewing markets, according Kristen Sykes, executive director of the Massachusetts Brewers Guild.

Breweries: Trillium Brewing
Wait a minute…. There are 2750 operating breweries in the US. 50 of which are in Mass. That leaves 2700 other breweries in the other 49 states. 2700/49 = 55.1. If there were a proportional number of breweries in each state(which there is not) that would be 55 breweries in each state. Odds are there are over 50 breweries in at least one state. I would like to see the figures.
