(Boston, MA) – Label approval came through for Samuel Adams Boston Lager and Samuel Adams Summer Ale in 12 oz. cans this week. The brewery announced earlier in the week that Boston Lager is slated for 12-pack cans and we can presume a similar package for Summer Ale. Boston Beer Company Chairman, Jim Koch, cautioned on Wednesday’s Q4 2012 earnings call that cans are still a new thing for the brewery and that the timeline isn’t set in stone as they learn the process.

I guess they forgot to change that part.
