(Houston, TX) – A few weeks ago, Owner of Duff Beer Distribution, Ash Rowell, was killed at his home in Houston. Though there haven’t been any new reports in the past few weeks, there has been one development with respect to Rowell’s business.

The Houston Press, among others, reported a few weeks back, “While Rowell had agreed in January to sell Duff to Favorite Brands Houston, Keith Conrad, FBH’s general manager, noted that the companies’ integration wasn’t yet complete.”

Looks like the deal is more or less complete now. BeerPulse learned that Favorite Brands took over for deliveries of Duff brands on Monday. A rep commented, “Expect great new beers to be flowing in Texas soon.”

Duff was an independent wholesaler with more than a dozen brands in its portfolio including Bear Republic, BrewDog and Moylan’s Brewery. Rowell was championed in various reports as a great friend to the local small brewing community.
