We have heard some rumblings that Ballast Point Brewery may finally be ready to hit the Chicago market. If these whispers are true, get ready to experience one of the best IPA’s in the world, Sculpin, at a Binny’s near you. Currently Ballast Point beers are only available at our two downstate locations, Bloomington and Champaign.
Big Bay Brewing debuted at a handful of our stores within the last few days, with several more stores slated to receive product next week. Big Bay is headquartered in Shorewood, Wisconsin, having just opened up a fancy brewpub there with a shiny new pilot brewing system. Big Bay features three year round selections: Wavehopper Kolsch, Long Weekend India Pale Ale, and Boatilla Amber Ale. We found all three to be easy to drink for their respected styles and perfect for a day outdoors, or as our assistant buyer Pat Brophy likes to say, “good lawnmower beers.” Big Bay will also feature several rotating seasonal beers, including Portside Porter and Summer Tide Wheat Ale.
Crazy Mountain Brewing Company is a can crazy brewery hailing from Vail Valley, Colorado. Our stores have begun bringing in three selections, all in six-pack cans from Crazy Mountain: Mountain Lovin’ Pale Ale, Amber Ale, and Lava Lake Wit. Look for these new selections on the shelf and in the craft your own six-pack rack at your local Binny’s.
