The Lost Abbey dumps first batch of beer in at least four years (video)

The Lost Abbey logo(San Marcos, CA) – …if ever?

In the above video, we witness the disaster that was the afternoon of Friday, November 16th. That is when the Port Brewing Company (and The Lost Abbey) lost power for nearly five hours. At one point, Lead Cellarman, Greg Peters, shows the crew dumping a batch of an anonymous beer that they brewed that day. Head Brewer, Mike Rodriguez, who joined the company in January of 2009, says it is the first batch that they have dumped since he’s been with the company.

They’d just finished bottling the last beer to come in the Ultimate Box Set, Track 12, which will be released this Saturday.

Also briefly revealed during the video is a “Mayan Apocalypse” version of the Judgment Day label. Stay tuned.

  1. Was that Monday November 19 or Friday November 16?

And what was the beer that was dumped? It looks like I’m having issues with the audio.
