The perfect beer for cold weather, Heavy Seas Below Decks Barleywine is smooth, rich, and toffee-like. In addition to our traditional Below Decks, we aged this year’s barleywine in Four Roses bourbon barrels for three weeks; bourbon barrel-aging adds caramel and vanilla notes. Our cabernet barrel-aged Below Decks–aged for a year in cab barrels from Napa Valley–has enhanced notes of dark fruit and chocolate. Robust and warming, Below Decks is a perfect choice for cellaring.
