– Tampa Bay Times reports that the new Tampa brewpub is slated to open in late February while the existing tasting room expansion is planned to be completed in November.

– The paper also reports that the company plans to start getting into cider and mead on a wide-enough scale that the products will go into distribution.

– Cigar City cans are now available after months of anticipation. Jai Alai cans are available in the taproom today. “Maduro, Florida Cracker and Hotter Than Helles will follow soon. Expect these guys to be hitting shelves near you soon!”

– Lead Brewer, Tim Ogden, posted on Thursday that Cigar City was brewing Moat Water Wood-Aged Stout, headed for 750ml bottles.

– The brewery teased a pic of Imperial Sweet Stout last weekend but says no release date has been set.
