(Tampa, FL) – Cigar City Brewing just announced that it will open up a brewpub in Tampa.

The location listed on the new Facebook page is 15491 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida 33624, apparently replacing what was once a TGI Fridays restaurant.

TampaBay.com reported in September that the company grossed $1.5 million in its taproom in 2011 so the on-premise service model is definitely working out well for Cigar City.

This would be the company’s second brewpub in Tampa. It opened the nation’s first airport brewpub at Tampa International Airport earlier this year.

The company opened in early 2009 and produced nearly 10,000 barrels of beer in 2011, up 174% from 2010.
