Washington barley harvest up 85% since 2010
This has been a bumper year for Washington barley, Sullivan said, with 150,000 acres harvested. That is up from 115,000 in 2011 and 81,000 in 2010. But it is a far cry from the 1.2 million acres harvested in the state in 1985, said Zwainz.
