Alabama ABC Board raids beer store of virtually all homebrew items

The owner of a small beer, wine, and homebrewing supply chain says three agents from the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board raided his unopened store late Thursday afternoon and took $7,000 worth of home beer brewing supplies, including boxes of beer brewing kits, carboys, immersion chillers, and books about brewing.

  1. It is maddening! I love that we are still a federation of states That allows each state to abide by different laws. BT when it comes to alcohol the divergence in laws is just stupid and so ridiculously cumbersome for free enterprise. it is just plain dumb that homebrewing is still not allowed in this day and age. Although if the Alabama law states as such then this shop should have known better and this action should not have been a surprise. You gotta change the law first.
