(Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewery plans to release a new variety 12-pack soon, dubbed “Shock and Awe.”
“Shock & Awe is our new variety pack that will replace the current Stray Dogs variety pack,” says Public Relations Manager, Erin Biles. “We’ll begin shipping it out to our wholesalers at the end of the month.”
There will be two versions of the pack that go out to the market, a white package and a green package, each featuring three bottles of four different beers. Both packs will feature Snake Dog IPA, Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout and UnderDog Atlantic Lager. The latter two beers made their debut in bottles this year.
The white pack, available only in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, will feature Raging Bitch Belgian IPA as the fourth beer. Raging Bitch is limited in production primarily due to lack of supply for Amarillo hops. “We are unable to produce enough Raging Bitch this year to supply all Shock & Awe packages,” says Biles.
As a result, the green package, available in all other markets (where Flying Dog is sold) will carry Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale as the fourth beer.
Look for the new packs in about a month.
“Shock and Awe”? Really? That’s pretty fecked up.
