A-B InBev update: Bud Light Platinum passes 1 million barrels, Modelo deal faces challenge

Bud Light Platinum has already passed the million barrel mark in the five months to-date, said A-B in a memo to distributors. A-B will be rolling out 22oz bottles and 18 pack bottles. A-B will also be "significantly" stepping up marketing by 60% for the remainder of the year.

  1. Great…..more SKU’s to clog up store shelves….soon to come:
    6 pk 8oz, 6pk 12 oz, 24 pk’s, 30 pk’s 32 oz, 16 oz, 6pk 16 oz, 12 pk 16 oz……also, make sure they are in BOTH can’s and bottles….don’t want to miss any real estate in the stores.

  2. I agree, Stephen. This Platinum is no less the gross crap than the abomination, Ultra. Platinum is nothing more than malt liqqa for the upper middle class, at least the ones who have yet to discover craft beer.

  4. They may as well keep riding the few succesful things that are going for them right now, I suppose. The sun shines on a dog’s ass every now and then.
