Hangar 24 Chandelle Sour Ale, Polycot Wheat Wine bottles due out in August

Hangar 24 Chandelle Sour Ale label(Redlands, CA) – Hangar 24 Brewery posted an update on its blog late last week regarding the upcoming release of two new beers.

Sunday, August 5th brings the release of Hangar 24′s famed Polycot. An instant Hangar 24 fan favorite with a fervent following, and a member of the Local Fields Series, Polycot is a wheat-wine style ale brewed with thousands of pounds of locally grown, organic apricots from Southern California’s High Desert.

Hangar 24 Polycot Wheat Wine labelIf barrel-aged beers are more your speed, then Sunday, August 12th is the day for you as we’ll release Barrel Roll #05, Chandelle. Chandelle started as Polycot poured into Oak Barrels with fresh apricots, brettanomyces yeasts and souring bacteria. Additional apricots were added again throughout the twelve month aging process.

Only 1300, 750mL bottles of Chandelle were produced, so this will be a brewery release only, and there will be no pre-sale (except for Hangar 24 Bronze Level Frequent Flyers). Doors open for Chandelle sales on Sunday, August 12 at 11am and we’ll sell it ’till it’s gone!

750mL bottle: $20, limit 3 per person.
