Flying Dog Oak-Aged Double Dog Double Pale Ale coming this fall

Flying Dog Oak-Aged Double Dog Double Pale Ale

(Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewery plans to release Oak-Aged Double Dog Pale Ale this fall with launch tentatively set for October, BeerPulse learned on Thursday. The release has already been pushed back though so that timing is subject to change, as per usual when it comes to barrel-aged beers. Details on the beer below…

Brewery Description: We all thought this beast of a beer could not get any more intense. Our brewers’ response to such a claim? Challenge accepted. Introducing Oaked Double Dog Double Pale Ale. Bold citrus aromas and flavors, balanced by caramel and brown fruit malt notes, still dominate this brew. But the addition of lightly-toasted American oak during fermentation creates toasty, earthy, and slight vanilla flavors — doubling this brew’s complexity.

Availability: Draft and 12 oz. bottles 6-packs
Region: MD, DC and VA

ABV: 11.5% ABV
IBUs: 85
Specialty malts: Light Crystal
Hops: Columbus, Warrior, Cascade

  1. Awesome. I love Double Dog and always end up drunker than I planned when it’s on nitro.
