Chuckanut Brewery eyes bottles, cans after expansion

chuckanut brewery logo square(Bellingham, WA) – Chuckanut Brewery, like just about every U.S.-based small brewer, has embarked on an expansion project to increase brewing capacity. As part of a press release on Washington Beer Blog, the Chuckanut team outlines what this means for the brewery.

With the growth of accounts (with 50% more beer) Chuckanut signed Click Distributing for their Seattle market distribution in January 2011 and Dickerson Distributing in March for northern Puget Sound. After receiving the second national title Chuckanut Brewery needed to expand again. In February 2012 additional funds were secured to order another 5 fermentation tanks which were received in June. Those tanks have been installed and are now operational. This addition will give the brewery another 50% capability in production. […]

The future for Chuckanut Brewery looks promising as one of the only traditional lager breweries in the Northwest. With an eye towards bottling and canning their product to make it more readily available to its customers Chuckanut Brewery expects to continue to grow.
