(Belchertown, MA) – Shelton Brothers announced this past week that it signed Germany-based Freigeist Bierkultur.

The company brought Freigeist’s Sebastian Sauer and Peter Essel onto Beer Sessions Radio on Tuesday and then again on its own radio show.

During the latter program, the duo showed off its sense of humor, referring to Budweiser and Miller as “S#!^” and saying that Pabst Blue Ribbon could “win a medal in a water competition.”

Freigeist translates to “free spirit.”

Shelton Brothers talked about last weekend’s big event, The Festival, as well. They plan to work with Twelve Percent Imports to put it on again next year. Among the tales from this year’s event, a few volunteers tried to steal bottles of Cantillon and a couple volunteers walked away (with permission) with a few totes of free beer. Not a bad way to cap off a weekend.
