(Dallas, TX) – Dallas-based Glazer’s is about to add to its portfolio of alcoholic beverage distributors.

On May 30th, the company announced the signing of a purchase agreement to acquire two Kansas-based companies: Southwest Distributing Company Stickney Distributing, the latter of which serves a four-county area in central part of the state.

In a press release, Glazer’s Corporate Executive Vice President, Phil Meacham said, “We are pleased to add another distributorship to our beer footprint. This marketing area enables us to expand our MillerCoors footprint in a state where we already have established a successful distribution network.”

The transaction is expected to close by the end of August.

According to Beverage World Magazine, Glazer’s is the 11th-ranked beer distributor in the U.S. with 20 million cases shipped annually. Revenue is nearly $500 million per year.
