Lazy Magnolia Brewing tripling capacity, debuting Timber Beast Imperial Rye IPA

Lazy Magnolia Timber Beast Rye IPA

(Kiln, MS) – Lazy Magnolia Brewing shared some big news in this morning’s email blast.

[…] However, this isn’t the only addition to our brewery; over the next 8 months, we’ll be undergoing a major expansion at our facility located in Kiln, MS. We’ll be going from 10,000 square feet of space and an annual capacity of 15,000 barrels, to nearly 30,000 square feet with a capacity of 45,000 barrels. With this expansion comes a picturesque tasting room, a 60 barrel brew house, 2 240 fermentors and a 240 barrel bright tank. This expansion was made possible through a collaborative stimulus initiative from both the Rural Development Authority (RDL) and the Mississippi Department Authority (MDA), which aims to alleviate unemployment in Mississippi. That being said, by the year 2016 we’ll have brought on an additional 21 employees, allowing us to nearly double our current staff.

The good news doesn’t stop here folks! Mississippi has surpassed yet another hurdle in the area of ABV restriction for products brewed within the State. We’re proud to announce that this summer we’ll be releasing Timber Beast, an Imperial Rye IPA, beginning July 1st to commemorate this achievement. Resting at an 8.5 % ABV, this spicy, full-bodied, rye pale ale balanced with a generous dose of Zythos hops, will be the first brew in Lazy Magnolia’s Back Porch Series. This commemorative package will be available in 4 packs at most retailers in our major markets, and on draughts at your favorite pubs.
