(Fort Collins, CO) – Beer City Television recently took a tour of Saison specialists, Funkwerks. Here are some things we learned:
– Currently distributed as far south as Colorado Springs and are looking to pick up distribution in the Western Slope and “take on a state or two” within the next year
– Working on a Dark Saison with Candi Sugar that will be aged in red wine barrels for a couple months
– Have a Golden Ale aging in a Cognac barrel
– Typically get 90% attenuation on their beers / two-week primary fermentation then dry-hopping and another week in fermentation
